Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the website and the SHADEDIY app:

• Account details you give us, such as your name and email address.
• Project content you choose to add, such as photos of your window, measurements and notes.
• Device information needed to pair and control your curtain hardware, such as device identifiers and connection status.
• Diagnostics such as crash reports and basic usage data, which help us fix problems.
• Messages you send to our support team.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts or health data, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

• To create your build plans, including AI analysis of the photos and details you provide.
• To connect, control and schedule your devices.
• To answer support requests and send messages you asked for, such as launch updates.
• To keep the service secure and to improve it.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run SHADEDIY (for example hosting, AI processing and email), under agreements that require them to protect it and use it only for us; or when the law requires it.

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete a project or your account, we delete the related data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.

You can view, correct or delete your information at any time. Delete your account in the app under Settings › Account › Delete account, or email hi@shadediy.com.

Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights, such as knowing what we hold about you. We will not treat you differently for using them.

We protect your information with encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

SHADEDIY is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for important changes, let you know in the app or by email.
